Next meeting is on Thursday, Feb 20, 5 to 7
pm Jr. Youth in Church and 7:30 to 9 pm for Sr. Youth Group at the
Flower shop.
On February 29 we are going to the Mustard Seed in Edmonton.
This trip was cancelled last November due to bad weather, praying
for good roads this time! We will prepare and serve a meal for the
homeless. This is for youth age 14 and up. We can only take 8
youth, so please let us know as soon as possible if you can come –
text Ellen 780-674-0152. We’ll leave the church at 1pm and will be
back around 9pm. This is a great opportunity to see what the
Mustard Seed does and for sure an eye opener!

Adopt a Family Youth Group Project – by Dec 10th

Our Youth Group has organized their annual “Adopt a
Family” again. They would like your help getting a Christmas
hamper and presents together for two families. At the main church
entrance is a small tree that is packed with paper ornaments in
different colors. If you can help out, please take one or as many as
you’d like and leave the item that you are donating at the main
entrance by December 10th

Youth Group Pocket Prayers

We are starting the Pocket Prayers project this month. The youth
will gather items urgently needed by the Mustard Seed in Edmonton.
All these items will be put in backpacks and added to that will be a
prayer, handwritten by the youth. Items needed are: toiletries – small
and regular sized items for men and women; underwear for men and
women (new); gently used winter jackets; winter shoes and boots;
gently used men’s sweaters; socks (new); backpacks. We will make
our delivery to the Mustard Seed on November 9, when the youth is
going out there to cook and serve a meal for the homeless.
If you’d like to help our youth and the Mustard Seed, you can bring
your donation to the church- please leave it behind the bulletin board
by the overflow entrance.
All items have to be either new or, if used, clean and in good

Search for Youth Retreat

April 26 – 28th in Assumption School (Cold Lake)

SEARCH is a weekend experience for youth age 15-18 to gather together to form an intense, joy -filled Christian community. All denominations are welcome to attend, although SEARCH follows the teachings of the Catholic Church. SEARCH is not a means for conversion to Catholicism but rather an opportunity to encounter Christ, and a build a community of believers.

Youth Group Startup

Instead of having a Windup Party we will be having a Fall
Start Up Party for the Youth Group the 1st week in
September after the long weekend and youth are back in
school. Either a slip and slide or paint ball eve with a
potluck campfire. Details and location to follow.

St. Anne’s Garage Sale – Items & Volunteer’s Needed!

St. Anne’s Garage Sale: The Youth Group will be hosting
a Garage Sale this Spring so start saving your items from
spring cleaning! The will need extra volunteers to help with
the setup and cleanup. No clothing, electronics such as
TVs, computers, phones, etc. Thank you for your support.

Drumheller Passion Play – July 15th

The Canadian Badlands “Passion Play” Experience
the epic story of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus
Christ in the superb natural amphitheatre in Drumheller,
Alberta. The Youth for Christ of our parish is organizing a
Drumheller Trip on July 15th, Sunday, which is open to all
parishioners aged 6 and up. Please sign up if you wish to
experience this excellent performance of the epic story
before April 30th. Performance time will be 4:00 pm. A bus
for transportation will be arranged if we get enough persons
