St. Anne’s Mass Attendance Preregistration: July 18-19/2020 Weekend
Church doors will be open for the check-in process 60 minutes
before the scheduled Mass time, and close 5 minutes before
Mass starts. To have everyone checked-in prior to the start of
Mass, please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your Mass start.
In the light of the Stage 2 of the Relaunch Strategy of the Government of Alberta, our diocese has updated the guidelines. The major change is requiring masks for all the volunteers and those who wish to receive the Holy Communion. Please visit the link below for details of the update.
Even though the number of attendees has been expanded, we will not be able to increase the number due to our limited space and our inability to meet other requirements at the moment.
My dear brothers and sisters of St. Anne’s Parish,
We have made the necessary arrangements as per the guidelines from the bishops of Alberta and Alberta Health, to celebrate the Mass as a parish family once again. To comply with the guidelines and considering the available space in our church, the attendance will be limited to 50. This is the Mass schedule for July 13 to July 19 2020:
We request you to pre register your desire to attend, whichever weekend Mass you choose, by clicking on the link above or by calling the parish office @ 780 674 2662, Monday to Saturday noon. All those who come to the Mass are expected to wear a non-medical mask while entering the church, during communion, and when leaving the church. You may choose to take your mass off once you are seated. After every Mass the church and facilities will be cleaned and sanitized.
When you come to the Mass, you will be asked some health screening and travel-related questions and your contact information will be collected for parish use only, if we are notified of a COVID-19 case and need to advise that you may have been exposed.
Those who feel sick or have a chronic medical condition, especially if you are over 65, are encouraged to stay home and attend the live streamed / televised Mass. Anyone attending the Mass in the church does so at their own risk. The dispensation from Sunday obligation continues to be in place. For detailed guidelines, go to the link below:
Let us hope and pray that this is a temporary situation and that we will soon be able to move to our normal situation that was before the shut down.
Looking forward to welcome you and to celebrate the Eucharist with you once again,
Fr. Johnny Vadakkenath Chacko IMS
PRAYER AGAINST CORONAVIRUS
Almighty and merciful Father,
We thank you for the life that is your gift,
For the providence, that sustains us,
And for your wisdom that directs the course of our days.
Forgive our sins against your love,
Against each other and against your creation.
The threat of an infection of coronavirus is upon us today.
This disease causes fear among us and has claimed some lives.
We humbly beg you, loving Father
To deliver us from this and other diseases.
Heal those who are afflicted and stop the spread of the virus.
Strengthen us in charity to care for each other.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
Who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit
One God for ever and ever. Amen
