The Stations of the Cross are a 14-step Catholic devotion that
commemorates Jesus Christ’s last day on Earth as a man. The 14
stations, focus on specific events of His last day, beginning with His
condemnation. The Stations of the Cross are commonly used as a
mini pilgrimage as the individual moves from station to station. At
each station, the individual recalls and meditates on a specific event
from Christ’s last day. It is one of the Catholic devotional practices
helping us to relive the Passion of the Lord and experience his
unconditional sacrificial love poured out to us.
Next course schedule on May 4,
Monday at 7pm. If you wish to have your child baptized
in the Catholic Faith you must first attend a baptism
preparation course. Please note Baptism course offered
only in January, May and September.
Sacrament of Reconciliation:
We will have the common celebration of the
Sacrament of Reconciliation in preparation for
Christmas on December 11, Wednesday at 3:30 pm
for the Catechism children and Youth Group and at
7:00 pm for the rest of the Parish.
Our Youth Group has organized their annual “Adopt a
Family” again. They would like your help getting a Christmas
hamper and presents together for two families. At the main church
entrance is a small tree that is packed with paper ornaments in
different colors. If you can help out, please take one or as many as
you’d like and leave the item that you are donating at the main
entrance by December 10th
A big Thank You from the Youth Group for your generosity!
On Christmas eve, Monday
December 24 we will start Mass at 7pm with our Christmas Pageant.
All children, ages 3 and up, are welcome to join! On Sunday,
December 22, right after Mass, we are having our sign-up and
rehearsal. If you are interested in signing up your child(ren), please
make sure that they will be at this rehearsal on the 22nd – no
practicing after catechism as in previous years. For questions and
sign-up, please contact Suzanne Koopman at 780-674-5306.
